Mathematics, Statistics, and Computational Sciences Librarian
Stanford University
Alex Manchester is the Mathematics, Statistics, and Computational Sciences Librarian at Stanford University. They graduated with a PhD in Mathematics from Rice University in May 2024, and their mathematical research was on 4-dimensional topological manifolds. They decided to go into librarianship after meeting a math librarian at a conference, and thinking it sounded like a very cool job! They have enjoyed digging into libarianship, in particular last year's SLA conference, and so they are excited to be moderating the Math Roundtable this year.
