With over 16 years at Applied Materials, Valerie Rangel leads library and information services, and manages the corporate library. She manages the budget, interfaces with key vendors, and demonstrates ROI to management. Valerie creates training programs, conducts resource analyses, and collaborates with business units to ensure effective use of library resources. Her and her team conduct research for engineers, manage the library website, and market library services. Recently her and her team have launched a Generative AI assistant to help users with their research needs.
