Christopher Byrne (he/him/his)

IP Strategy Analyst
PPG Industries Inc

Christopher Byrne received his BS in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1999 and subsequently worked at GE's Global Research Center until 2001. He earned his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 2006 and completed a one-year postdoctural appointment at UC Berkeley. In 2007, he started at Momentive Performance Materials and worked in product development in several different groups. His career at PPG began in 2016 and he began his current role in Intellectual Asset Management in 2019. As IP Strategy Analyst, he collaborates across several different functions to provide patent portfolio insights and establish IP strategies for new technologies.
