I am the solo librarian for Rolls-Royce, serving a global community from Indianapolis. Sixteen years ago, the library lacked digital resources, a website, and research support. With a background in environmental science and over a decade in hazmat management, I changed careers at 50, earning an MLS. Originally hired for a one-year project, I transformed a soon-to-close library into a vital business asset through marketing, teaching, and ROI strategies. Recently, as Rolls-Royce downsized its real estate, the library remained essential, securing its place in the company’s future.
