Change management is complex but can be more challenging for new managers. To be effective, we need to mentor staff while understanding the history of the working environment. Mentoring staff is critical when implementing change, so open communication, encouraging ideas, and a collaborative approach are essential. The “new sheriff in town” approach does not work.
